On 17–18 June 2026, Dr Terese Edwards, Chief Executive of Single Mother Families Australia, participated in the HuSoc Seoul Humanities and Social Sciences International Conference at Kwangwoon University.
Terese delivered a presentation entitled “Who Really is the Policy Problem? Rethinking Policy Design”, examining how policy systems understand and respond to single mothers and their families.
As part of her presentation, Terese screened the New Chapter animation, bringing its messages and the experiences it represents to an international academic audience.
The screening demonstrates the growing international reach of the work and its value as a resource for encouraging discussion about single motherhood, family life, social policy and the importance of listening directly to lived experience.
We are delighted to see the animation being used to support international research, teaching and policy conversations and thank Terese for continuing to promote the project and its messages.
